Taking Care with Highlighters
Our wedding packages- to be found at www.wishlantern.co.uk, come with a beautiful purple and white highlighter. The treason for this, is that it is a nice idea- and one that appeals to many a bride- to allow your guests to write their wishes directly onto the lanterns, as a gesture of goodwill and support for the happy couple. It is also a nice way of personalising each lantern so that you feel your product is unique to your own even as opposed to a carbon copy of someone elses wedding. It is worth mentioning here however that when writing directly onto the delicate rice paper, extreme care must be taken at all costs. The last thing you would want is to have to sidle up to the bride with your tail between your legs only to declare that you had torn one of her precious lanterns, rendering it useless. A torn lantern, even if patched together with sellotape, will not fly. The sellotape in fact weighs down the lantern as the lanterns are very sensitive o any extra weight they are carrying. So, the moral of the story is, take care. You may see yourselve as an aspiring pablo Picasso, but if you let your hands get carried away, your lantern won’t be able to.
